I’m Camila, although many people call me Maria, haha. The name Maria Retalho is a tribute to my grandmother, my first great reference in the world of sewing, followed by my mother, who taught me and continues to teach me so many things. It’s a true inheritance of talent and passion passed down from generation to generation!
I’m a craftsperson passionate about sewing and felt since 2020! During the pandemic, I used the time in isolation to delve into research on childhood, the importance of play, and how to strengthen family bonds from a child’s perspective. I’ve always been curious about how we can place children at the center of development, an interest that began with the arrival of my son and continues to fascinate me even now that he is a teenager.
Today, my mission is to promote more free and fun play, away from screens and plastic! I believe that imagination is the most incredible toy we can have. My goal is to create products that spark curiosity, encourage learning, and make play even more creative and exciting. Each item is carefully chosen and designed to foster different aspects of child development, from motor and cognitive skills to creativity and imagination. It’s like a touch of magic to help children explore the world and have fun while learning! Each piece carries a little bit of the eternal child that lives inside me!
I’m a fan of Amélie Poulain (who can resist a touch of magic in life?), I love dark chocolate, and I enjoy sewing to the sounds of the Dixie Chicks while sipping my hot coffee! Oh, and I’m a proud aunt to two amazing girls and one very special boy.
With a degree in tourism and after 20 years dedicated to aviation, I bring the curiosity of the world to every stitch, creating toys that not only entertain but also connect! I’m here for us to explore a universe of creativity and unforgettable play together.
Hello! My name is Bruno, and I’ve been passionate about storytelling through illustration since 2014. My journey began even before I became a father. With a degree in History, I teach about the past while bringing the present to life through art. In addition to teaching History, I also instruct Scientific Practice and Drawing for middle school students. Every class is a new opportunity to spark creativity and curiosity in young minds.
My wife, Camila, is a true magician when it comes to crafting. Together, we transform my illustrations into charming activities for felt sensory books. It’s a partnership that makes my heart sing! I love seeing children explore and learn from our creations.
When I’m not surrounded by colored pencils (my trusty companions!), you can find me engrossed in a good movie or TV series. I’m a fan of the master Steven Spielberg – who doesn’t love a bit of adventure and magic on the big screen? And my love for books is as extensive as my vast library, where each title tells a new story waiting to be discovered.
Here in our crafting corner, I hope to inspire you to create, play, and discover the magical world of felt. Let’s make art, tell stories, and spark imagination together!
